Ideas and Travel photography!

Ideas are everything, right? They shape the world. Ideas are the reason for the world to change, for good. But, in the realm of photography, it tends to be the opposite. Most of the time, it shows you the exact form of the world rather than a modified from. It portrays the world for what it is.

In Travel photography, getting the right ideas can help you depict what the world is or what it can be. It’s your choice to go further with either of them.

The famous photographer Dorothea Lange once said “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still”. I have always found this idea wonderful. When you capture a photograph, you freeze time. In a way, you do. It might be the tiniest things that can make the biggest impacts. Whatever you see can be forgotten after a while, but whatever you capture will always be a part of your memory forever. The concept/idea on the basis of which you captured the shot matters the most over here.

I feel, Travel Photography is one of the best forms of Photography. I will tell you why. In terms of ideas, there are wide range of ideas you can create while exploring the world. I think it is because of the reason that it is made up of different forms of Photography. For instance, when you travel and capture a building in your frame it implies to Architectural Photography. When you travel and explore different cuisines from around the world and capture that, it can be Food Photography. So, Travel photography is in itself a basic form of all kinds of photography and because of that, ideas might have a way of coming to you automatically.

When you travel, you not only take pictures of random objects but you actually get a chance to experience what the world has to offer. We have always been told that the world is full of opportunities. I don’t know about others but I think that might be true for travel photographers. The more you travel, the more ideas you seem to have. Every time you visit a new place, it has something completely new to offer and if you understand that well, you might end up having the best of ideas or concepts as to how amazing that place can be shot.
So that was about the role of ideas in Travel photography!

Trust the process until you get that one “Perfect Shot”.
