ME, MYSELF AND I

The title itself seems to be cliché’ but I think we all like a bit of that here and there in our lives even if we say we don’t. Hey, I am Amrutha, a first- year mass communication student who opted for it just because of being an artist. At least, that is what I think. When I describe myself as an artist, you shouldn’t get the idea that I am one of those professional artists who actually get paid for their work. No, I am just another person who finds happiness in creating something themselves. When I was about to choose my stream in 11th grade, I opted for commerce    because I did not like science only to   realize that I did not like commerce as well. So here I am studying something that is not even in the slightest bit related to what I learnt before. Well, I am trying to make most of what I am learning.

 

I would say I am talented in everything but have not specialized in anything. For  starters, I have been a keyboardist for over 10 years yet I have not finished learning all of it and who knows, maybe I never will. I can paint but I would never trust myself with painting a portrait. What I am trying to say is, even though I can do a lot of it, I have never stuck to one thing and I guess I never will. I am not the person who would do the same thing over and over again. So, sticking on to one thing can be a nightmare for a person like me.

 Now imagine finding a job for an adventurous person such as I. A person who figures life as a gift, (*cliched dialogue yet true*) and does not intend on wasting it. A person who is inspired by movies like “Into the Wild” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara”.Well that is what I am in search of. Not in search of a job, but in search of what makes me happy, what excites me, what completes me. That is about me for now. Keep an eye out for all the amazing content that I will be posting in the coming days.
