Even though we take random pictures as person, when it comes
to travel photography it has to be well-researched. When you visit a place, we
are supposed to study and learn about their culture, traditions, history
etcetera. This helps you gain perspective and it definitely gives a positive
light to your photographs. But what truly matters is what the photograph
conveys. We may not realize but photographs have a sense of power held within
them. Also, Because photography has the ability to freeze time, it helps you
create a memoir of all the places you have been to. Isn’t that wonderful?

The pictures we take today can be a part of history. Imagine if nobody took a picture of Gandhi ji or Marilyn Monroe! The world would have never seen or actually known who they were. It is because of the photographs we have of them that we are able to understand who they were. So, as a photographer we should always realize the power of a picture, because what we capture today may become a historic event, place and so on. The photographs we capture today are history for the future in some or the other way. Hence, what I mentioned before in my posts are important aspects that you should focus on when capturing a shot. The ideas or concepts that are the basis of the picture, the cameras which are used, the genre - everything matters. So, make sure you realize “the power of a picture”. Therefore, even in Travel photography, every shot counts, every shot matters. Wherever the location maybe, you can make it part of history through the way you shoot it.
Always remember to trust the process until you get that one “perfect shot”.
